The AngloGold Ashanti’s Obuasi mine has commemorated the world environmental day in a grand style where All schools in Adansi enclaves where engage in a quiz competition.
At the program Mr. FRANCIS SARFO, CLOSSURE MANAGER FOR AGA took time to hammered on why we should protect the environment, according to him, we are ignorant of taking some measures that can conserve the environment but we rather do things that cause harm to the environment.
He said the way we build our houses are not the best, the way we treat the environment to the extent that we even block water log areas and do other activities such as farming and others.
He said Anglogold Ashanti Obuasi mine is committed to provide education for the good people of Ghana as well as Adansi on the environment.
Nana Kwabena Okofo Bonsu II DOMPOASEHENE also urged Ghanaians especially the current generation to make very good use of the environment.
Nana said that it’s high time for us to stay away from activities that cause destruction to the environment.
He said by abiding some rules and regulations on the environment, we can live longer than expected.
