The Founder and Chairman of the Sheikh Alhassan Salifu Muslim Community Centre, popularly known as the Kumasi City Mosque, has donated cash and clothing worth GH¢15,000 to victims of the recent floods in Accra.
The donation was presented at a ceremony organised to support families affected by the devastating floods and to help them recover from the impact of the disaster.
Speaking at the event, Sheikh Alhassan Salifu urged the general public to show compassion and kindness to the poor and vulnerable in society.
He also called on the youth to embrace peace, tolerance and unity, describing them as important values that should guide them as true ambassadors of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
Sheikh Salifu further encouraged individuals and organisations to extend a helping hand to flood victims and others facing hardship, stressing that collective support is essential in times of crisis.
