One Dead, Three Children Injured After Truck Hits Farm Tricycle at Abofour

One person is dead and three children are injured, two critically, after a Burkina Faso-registered truck struck a farm tricycle at Abofour Camp 31.

 

The crash occurred when a long truck with registration BF 4264E-03, reportedly speeding, hit an Aboboyaa tricycle traveling from a farm to Abofour.

The tricycle had developed a fuel shortage at the time of the incident. A second truck head, BF 6076E1-03, was also present at the scene. The tricycle’s registration number remains unidentified.

 

According to the report four people from the same family were on the tricycle. One person died on the spot.

A 13-year-old boy suffered broken legs from the waist down. Two younger children are in critical condition and receiving treatment.

 

Police have not yet released further details on the cause of the crash. Investigations are underway.

 

The accident adds to growing concerns over road safety along the Abofour stretch, particularly involving heavy-duty trucks and farm vehicles.
