President Mahama Confirms Three Deputy Comptrollers-General of Ghana Immigration Service

President John Dramani Mahama has officially confirmed three acting Deputy Comptrollers-General of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) into their substantive ranks.

Made upon the recommendation of the GIS Governing Council and with the advice of the Public Services Commission, these appointments recognize the officers’ leadership, professionalism, and dedication to duty.

The move is designed to reinforce ongoing organizational reforms, bolster operational efficiency, and strengthen the leadership structure tasked with managing border security, migration, and national security.

Under the new substantive assignments, Deputy Comptroller-General Evelyn Lolonyo Lotsu will lead the Finance and Administration Directorate.

Deputy Comptroller-General Faisal Disu takes charge of the Command Post and Operations Directorate, while Deputy Comptroller-General Philip Peter Andoh will oversee the Legal, Research, and Monitoring Directorate.

Assuming full authority, the trio will work alongside the Comptroller-General to steer the administration and strategic direction of the Service.

The Comptroller-General of Immigration, Samuel Basintale Amadu, congratulated the newly confirmed deputies, praising their competence and commitment to service.

Expressing full confidence in their abilities to promote good governance and support Ghana’s national development, Mr. Amadu assured the officers of the management team’s complete backing as they step into their new responsibilities.
