The Base Movement to Enstool Kennedy Agyapong as Flagbearer for 2028 Elections, Plans to Establish Kennedy UniversityThe Founder of The Base Movement (TBM), Dr. George Oti Bonsu, has described the movement as a game-changer that will create jobs for the youth.
According to him, the Base Movement is working to establish Kennedy University in Ghana to support youth education, in line with Hon. Kennedy Agyapong’s vision to empower young people.
Dr. Oti Bonsu made this known while speaking to the media at the Kotoka International Airport upon his return from the United States, where he received an international honour for his contributions to entrepreneurship and political organization.
He was awarded for “Excellence in Entrepreneurship and Founding the Base Movement” at the 15th Annual Mega 3G Media Awards & Celebrity Bash held in the US.
He disclosed that while in the US, he held discussions with some prominent individuals on how to support The Base Movement, and they concluded plans to open Kennedy University in Ghana. He added that preparations are far advanced and the school building is ready.
He therefore appealed to members and supporters of The Base Movement to remain united and committed to pushing the movement forward, assuring them that their vision will be realized.
He further stated emphatically that Hon. Kennedy Agyapong will join The Base Movement next year, as he believes he is the one who can help build Ghana and create jobs for the youth
The Political Head of The Base Movement (TBM), Mr. Jacob Osei Yeboah, also disclosed plans by the movement to enstool Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong as its flagbearer for the 2028 general elections through traditional means.
According to Mr. Osei Yeboah, who is also a former Independent Presidential Aspirant and 2016 presidential candidate, The Base Movement is doing everything humanly possible to ensure that Kennedy Agyapong leads the movement into the 2028 elections.
He explained that Kennedy Agyapong possesses strong leadership qualities and has the interest of the youth at heart, which aligns with the core mandate of The Base Movement.
“We in The Base Movement are going to use the traditional way of enstoolment of a chief to make Kennedy Ohene Agyapong the flagbearer of The Base Movement for the 2028 general elections,” he stated.
