Archbishop Dr. Francis Kwabena Akwaboah, founder and leader of Christian Hope Ministry, has called on Ghanaians to be patient over the *Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill*, which he says President John Dramani Mahama will sign.
Speaking on the bill that has dominated national conversation, the Archbishop said the President’s assent would make the Christian community proud and “move the country from grace to glory.” He urged Ghanaians to unite and show love to one another as a nation.
Separately, Apostle Samuel Opoku, leader of the Christian Hope Ministry Obuasi branch, appealed to government, particularly agencies in charge of sanitation, to provide materials such as dustbins to improve sanitation across the country.
The Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill was recently passed by Parliament but was subsequently invalidated by the Speaker over procedural irregularities. It seeks to criminalize LGBTQ+ advocacy and related activities.
